A world class institution... of RIOTING!!!

April 6th, 2001

According to one "innocent" rioter, this was "the best day of my life!  Gophers win the NCAA championships, I was there, it's my 21st birthday, I'm wasted, and at a riot on campus!  Life can't get any better!"  It's true.  For those of us who braved the storm and plunged headlong into Dinkytown to be spectators to the evening's festivities, it truly was a great time.  The taste of pepper spray in the air, running through back alleys from the po-po, standing on Folwell's roof and watching the the evolution of a flaming shirt into a full blown bonfire right in the middle of University Ave...  Now you too can relive the excitement of Team Blueberry and their courageous odyssey on the night of April 6th, 2001.
